This became crystal clear to The Allotment during our ‘Big Dig’ phase of research and led us to define their vision, mission and values as well as a proposition based on ‘Insight and a journey of discovery’.


Marlin Hawk’s purpose is to help businesses, brilliant leaders and their own people create sustainable, worthwhile and inspiring futures – to push at the frontier of management leadership and performance. They deliver this exceptional service by providing an unparalleled depth of talent search and market analysis. The brief demanded that we transform the brand identity and communication touch points in order to project the quality and inspirational nature of their business.


The design approach we took focused on telling the brand story of Marlin Hawk via a compelling book and website that took the reader on an exciting journey of its achievements in placing some of the world’s brightest talent into extremely challenging roles. Because of the confidentiality of the case studies, company names could not be used but the stories and beautiful illustrations captured Marlin Hawk’s journey of discovery and endeavour on behalf of its clients.

The website uses the latest html 5 technologies to deliver a responsive, dynamic and engaging user experience which layer by layer (Above and beyond, Depth and detail) illustrates Marlin Hawk’s inspiring approach and rich, depth of experience. This is a unique website and is the first use of emotive storytelling in the recruitment sector.

To echo the quality of Marlin Hawk’s offer the brand identity was evolved to create an iconic monocle badge. This is used as a silver emboss on letterheads, literature and on proposal covers.

Our approach developed an authentic brand narrative that focuses on an inspiring journey of discovery.
